Fillers are cosmetic injections that are used to reduce the appearance of moderate to deep folds of the mid-to-lower face, by restoring volume of cheeks, lips and eye areas. Fillers are often used in combination with botox to create a non surgical brow lift, or a popular procedure called the "liquid face lift."
All new clients are encouraged to engage in our initial one-on-one consultation to develop a tailored treatment plan for proper preparation and optimal results.
Unlike Botox, filler can be uncomfortable for many and moderately painful for some. It requires topical anesthesia and ice, uses a slightly larger needle than Botox and has a higher risk of bruising. Treatments last approximately 60 minutes and results last 6-9 months, or more depending on filler used and region that receives it – more mobile areas lead to faster breakdown.
Relatively healthy individuals starting in mid-to-late thirties who are starting to see the signs of an aging face. It’s best to address while skin elasticity is still good. Moderate to severe decreased skin elasticity will also need to consider the medical grade skin care line as their results could more often end up sub optimal. At your initial consultation, we will evaluate if the treatment is appropriate. As filler is categorized as a “Medical Device,” further assessment by a Plastic Surgeon may be required.
